Thames Hospicecare provides a first class service and has a reputation for excellence in the community. Corporate Social Responsibility
CSR follows the concept that companies have obligations to the wider community and that good corporate citizenship extends further than simply following the law. Luckily for us many local companies believe in this too and show their support for THc in a variety of ways for example volunteer days, mentoring, gifts in kind etc.

| Leaseplan:generously provided two vehicles for Hospice use and this has helped us greatly in driving patients to hospital appointments and helping our retail team to deliver donated goods to our 16 shops and collecting furniture for the Furniture Mart. | |

Cause Related Marketing
The creation of the term "cause-related-marketing" was coined to describe efforts to support locally based charitable causes in a way that also promoted business. Thames Hospicecare work with corporate partners in a variety of ways and we are always keen to explore fundraising ideas that have mutual benefits for both parties. During 2009 we ran the "Support your local business campaign" promoted through our newsletter to our supporters and with each participant offering a special discount rate.

There are lots of opportunities for staff to get involved in events and employees can participate individually, rising to the challenge or as a team.
