Donate Don't Dump

Thames Hospicecare are looking for local companies that would be happy to join us and participate in D-Day; Donate, Don’t Dump campaign. We are hoping that your business will want to encourage staff to join this excellent scheme and to host a special collection for a day or week to help your company give to this very worthwhile and well respected local charity. Not only will you be helping to raise funds for the Hospice, which provides all its care and services free of charge but you will be helping the environment at the same time.

We are proposing that we make a time suitable to both your company and employees for the Thames Hospicecare ‘Donate Don’t Dump’ team to come into your place of work to do a short presentation to the staff about the scheme and how it will work. Helping us to increase the number of donations our Charity Shops receive and increase the stock for us to re-sell, will help local people living with a life-limiting illness. Thames Hospicecare has 17 retail outlets and raises an incredible £400,000 profits. This is a large percentage of the total amount annually it costs to run the Hospice, which is now around £5million.

How D-Day will work:

1. We would like to come to you to promote this scheme to as many staff as possible.
2. Provide special collection bags for staff to take away to fill with donations.
3. Provide a Donate Don’t Dump Pack with promotional material.
4. Arrange for staff to donate either on one specific day or over a whole week – depending on your company preference and storage areas.
5. Return to your company on your agreed D-Day, to make collections.
6. Promote your company's involvement to the local press accordingly.
