The kindness and generosity of those who have chosen to remember Thames Hospicecare (THc) in their Will over the last 25 years has paid for the cost of skilled and gentle hospice care for one in four patients. What a truly wonderful gift.

This is George's story: ''We'd been through a lot over the last few years, doctors, hospitals, treatments, results, more doctors, we never expected to end up in a Hospice. We thought they were dark places, full of scary things, not for us. How wrong can you be? From the moment we walked into Thames Hospicecare at Windsor our fears melted away. For the first time in a long time we felt safe. My lovely wife, always so proud, so independent, now a shadow of her former self. The staff at the Hospice helped her to be that woman again. A little wearier perhaps but she was at peace; she was safe they gave her back her dignity; she was treated with respect and endless caring. When she died, I knew life would never be the same but I will never stop being grateful to those people who helped my Gillian to die without fear and who supported me and the family long after we lost her. Thank you to everyone who supports this wonderful Hospice and makes it possible''.
