Community In-House Services

If you or someone you know is struggling with a life changing illness, the services offered at THc Ascot may help. You may wish to listen to what patients have to say, please click here for our latest DVD. Patients and carers coming to THc Ascot can learn new ways to manage symptoms and live life more easily. Patients/carers working with the THc team, choose activities that best suit their current needs. Click here to see a typical weekly rolling programme. For some, this may be once a week, for others more often. The emphasis is on flexibility, working together to understand what is right for each person and often their family/carer too.

The overall aim is to:

  • enable people to keep control of their lives
  • improve the quality of life for people and carers through practical and emotional support
  • offer choice and equity of access to more people

There is a leaflet describing the service in more detail, please click here to download your copy or call 08456 128812 and ask for a leaflet to be sent to you. Sometimes people are unsure about coming to a hospice, the DVD helps to dispel some of these myths and below are some of the questions people also ask.

People often say to us 'we wish we had come earlier, we have got so much from it.' Please come along to THc Ascot (in King's Ride, just off the Heatherwood Roundabout) and look around. Stay for a coffee, bring a friend and see for yourself. It might help you too.

A limited volunteer driver service is available, please call 08456 128812 for more information.

''The Hospice really cares at a personal level not just for the patient they treat but their family and friends too''
